preacherman481 is right... your computer says the ports are not there, so if someone was trying to port scan you, all ports would not only be blocked, but appear to not even be there. A cool feature in firewalls, IMO.

    ShieldsUP

The port scan at grc.com (the ShieldsUp test) is a very good one that has been used something like 14 million times.
I also run ZoneAlarm, and I have also done the test with it running and with it not running. When you set the ZA Internet Security settings to High (the default setting) then you come out in "stealth mode." ZA drops all packets it intercepts, and does not reply to the ICMP Ping. So, if someone pings you, they do not get a responce, as if your machine were unplugged!
Personally, I like to keep the Internet Settings at Medium. All ports are still blocked, but the ICMP suppression is NOT enabled, so my system will reply to a ping.

Also, other tools like NMAP cannot tell either if you are there when your settings are set to High.

Correct me if I am wrong but these sites that "test" your firewall only test a few ports. They don't show if you are really stealthed on the internet. From information I have read on this site you aren't stealthed with just a firewall. You need a proxy server. For more info go here http://www.antionline.com/showthread...ight=web+pages

What I do to test myself is portscan with languard (google.com) from my work, and thats a pretty complete scanner.

I use a proxy some of the time. I like free stuff (who doesn't?) and I got the free version which means I can't view some web pages.
