well...CCNA is good...personlly i prefer software development....but the truth is the demand for CCNA's might be greater....go for ti. it might be one of the hardest certifs out there and the only way to pass is to study lots :/...which i hate....but it is well worth it ...good luck both of ya

CCNA is OS independent so unlike MCSE you’re not going to become Microsoft’s bitch. Also if your university courses cover most of the stuff them you might just want to go write the exam without spending all that time and money on redundant learning.
