    Question Underline Password in XP

I have seen a character in a password underlined. The underlined character seems to work fine in the password. I expect that this will it add alot of additional security.

I have tried to duplicate the process and nothing I do will maintain the underline.

I can type it in Word underlined but when I copy and paste it to a windows password box,the underline is gone.

Is there a way to copy word documents to windows exactly as written in word?

Is there a way to backspace without deleating character and then overstriking?

I'm stumped. If I had not seen it ,I would not have believed it.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I am running windows xp professional

Not all password boxes allow for special characters such as # ô &.
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.

what cwk9 said........a lot of pswrd boxes are limited in the characters they will recognize...I tried to use an extended character for some pswrd box once, and I got screwed cuz it recognized the character as something else
