    Talking the beatles meet windose

    "Yesterday"
    Yesterday,
All those backups seemed a waste of pay.
Now my database has gone away.
    Oh I believe in yesterday.
    Suddenly,
There's not half the files there used to be,
And there's a milestone hanging over me
    The system crashed so suddenly.
    I pushed something wrong
What it was I could not say.
    Now all my data's gone
    and I long for yesterday-ay-ay-ay.
    Yesterday,
The need for back-ups seemed so far away.
I knew my data was all here to stay
    Now I believe in yesterday.

    "Let it Be"
When I find my code in tons of trouble,
Friends and colleagues come to me,
    speaking words of wisdom:
    Write in C.
    As the deadline fast approaches,
And bugs are all that I can see,
    Somewhere, someone whispers:
    Write in C.
Write in C, Write in C,
Write in C, oh, Write in C.
    LOGO's dead and buried,
    Write in C.
I used to write a lot of FORTRAN,
    For science it worked flawlessly.
    Try using it for graphics!
    Write in C.
If you've just spent nearly 30 hours,
    Debugging some assembly,
Soon you will be glad to
    Write in C.
Write in C, Write in C,
Write in C, yeah, Write in C.
    BASIC's not the answer.
    Write in C.
Write in C, Write in C
Write in C, oh, Write in C.
    Pascal won't quite cut it.
    Write in C.

    IMAGINE
    Imagine there's no Windows,
    It's easy if you try.
No fatal errors or new bugs
    To kill your hard drives.
    Imagine Mr. Bill Gates
    Leaving us in peace!
    Imagine neverending hard disks,
    It isn't hard to do.
Nothing to del or wipe off
    And no floppy too
    Imagine Mr. Bill Gates
    Sharing all his money.
You may say I'm a hacker,
But I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us
And your games will fit in RAM
    Imagine 1-Giga RAM
    I wonder if you can.
No need for left-shifts or setups
And no booting again and again.
    Imagine all the systems
    Working all life-time!
You may say I'm a hacker,
But I'm not the only one.
Maybe someday I'll be a cracker
And then I'll make Windows run.

I received a link from my supervisor, and the site had multiple songs rewritten with a tech humor. I liked the few with sound bits more. www.twistedtunes.com has a few every so often.

When you're posting stuff like this, it's always a good idea to tell us your source so it doesn't look like you're pretending that you made it up yourself. I did a quick search on google with one of the phrases from your post and it came back with 594 sites you could have chosen from. Please cite your sources.

    Songs to program by...
    Eleanor Rigby
    -------------
    Eleanor Rigby
    Sits at the keyboard
And waits for a line on the screen
    Lives in a dream
    Waits for a signal
    Finding some code
That will make the machine do some more.
    What is it for?
All the lonely users, where do they all come from?
All the lonely users, why does it take so long?
    Guru MacKenzie
    Typing the lines of a program that no one will run;
    Isn't it fun?
    Look at him working,
Munching some chips as he waits for the code to
    compile;
    It takes a while...
All the lonely users, where do they all come from?
All the lonely users, why does it take so long?
    Eleanor Rigby
    Crashes the system and loses 6 hours of work;
    Feels like a jerk.
    Guru MacKenzie
Wiping the crumbs off the keys as he types in the
    code;
    Nothing will load.
All the lonely users, where do they all come from?
All the lonely users, why does it take so long?

    Something
    ---------
Something in the way it fails,
    Defies the algorithm's logic!
Something in the way it coredumps...
I don't want to leave it now
    I'll fix this problem somehow
Somewhere in the memory I know,
A pointer's got to be corrupted.
Stepping in the debugger will show me...
I don't want to leave it now
I'm too close to leave it now
You're asking me can this code go?
    I don't know, I don't know...
What sequence causes it to blow?
    I don't know, I don't know...
    Something in the initializing code?
And all I have to do is think of it!
Something in the listing will show me...
I don't want to leave it now
I'll fix this tonight I vow!

Just for the record LoggOff and SumDumGuy, I never gave the guy any negs and unless I've missed something, it doesn't look like he got even a single neg for this post. I had just seen way too much of the cut and paste crap that week and unfortunately, took it out on some poor unsuspecting newbie in Tech Humor. I apologize for venting my steam on you tHeHeTeRic.
