google is one of the best search engines around imho, so be sure to visit www.google.ca
When you ask where you can find tutorials for IP and ICMP it sounds like your interested in TCP/IP and networking. Networking resources are available all over the Internet. As well visit your local library to see what kinds of books they have available.

In the above directory listing be sure to check out RFCs, protocols, intranet and proxies.
