    Unhappy " IE illegal opeation error"

    hello friends
    the folowing error has become too common when i use my windows 98,, and i'm really pissed off,,,
    most of the times this *ucking error comes out form the blue and i have to restart my system.
    i have IE 6.0 installed in my systme
    IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
    module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff87ede.

    you're executing in the stack, and the stack pointer is extremely low (not even in the stack). it might be normal, but i would be suspicious as it's holds all the signs of an overflow. whether it was self-induced or through malicious code is another matter to be concerned with. you might try reporting it if you haven't already.

    Is there any kind of action that you do when you seem to notice the error more? Is it getting progressively worse, or have you been experiencing this from the beginning? If it's from the beginning, I'd recommend re-installing IE.

    If it's recent, is there any application that you installed that might have stepped on IE?

    Uninstall the IE 6 and reinstall it. This should correct the problem. Make sure you go back to Microsoft Downloads and reinstall any updates. It may say you have them installed already, but they may be messed up.
