Talking *You and Your Boss: The Subtle Differences*

hello everybody .. i am posting after a long time.. i suppose.. was busy for my exams..

ok so here is something between an employee and his Boss hope u all will like it...

*You and Your Boss: The Subtle Differences*

If you take a long time, you're slow.
But if your boss takes a long time, he's thorough.

If you don't do it, you're lazy.
But if your boss doesn't do it, he's too busy.

If you make a mistake, you're an goober.
But if your boss makes a mistake, he's 'only human'.

If you take a stand, you're being bull-headed.
But if your boss does it, he's being firm.

If you overlooked a rule of etiquette, you're being rude.
But if your boss skips a few rules, he's being original.

If you do something without being told, you're overstepping your
    authority.
But if your boss does the same thing, he's taking initiative.

If you're on a day off sick, you're 'always' sick.
But if your boss is a day off sick, he must be very ill.

If you're out of the office, you're wandering around.
But if your boss is out of the office, he's on business.

If you apply for leave, you mus! t be going for an interview.
But if your boss applies for leave, it's because he's overworked.

Quality, and very Dilbert-esque as danielcox inferred! That can be no bad thing, Scott Adams is champion of humour in the workplace! Nice work

Good, it's slowly working it's way up the "Antipoint Status Ladder" I wonder why it received all those negs, maybe it's because intruder gave no reference to the work???

I gave it positives but mine don't count at the moment anyway.

Nothing wrecks humor like having it explained, or nitpicking.

The list is of course humor, and like any of the other subjective lists showing differences between opposites or extremes, and double standards, there is enough truth to bring a chuckle, and enough lack of objectivity to bring a sigh of discomfort from the side of the "victim" of the humor.

One could ask what a "real" boss, like a customer, would think if viewing each trait from either the boss or subordinate.

It's the hope that any team becomes efficient. Each team member though, if faced with the upsets of routine, and an inability to pull off the practiced and "scripted" duties of his/her function are far from efficient. As has been discovered in team building, the way around the entire team operating in such an efficient manner is to have someone responsible for absorbing the inefficiencies of the other members of the team. This most logically falls on the one leading, coordinating, and supervising the operation. It's here that the inefficiencies of the team is less critical to the operation. This is the member of the team that doesn't actually perform the labor. He becomes efficient at absorbing the other's inefficiencies. The demands on him/her are different. It could look like a double standard, subjectively. It looks logical though, objectively.
