I'm not familiar with Yahoo Chat. Isn't there a way to ignore a user? Also you don't want to get caught returning the favor, so just keep a log of the user name, time, location, and even e-mail address and consistantly send reports of failure to obey Service Contract to the Yahoo Moderator.

We get this alot in the IRC. The best way is to stay out of the rooms that kiddies reside in and keep out of it !

umm i believe that you won't get booted if you logged on to www.yahoo.com java. They can only crash your yahoo messenger.

I haven't found any way to stop them either. I like the idea of stay out of the rooms they frequent, but they seems to go to each room, run their room flood and boot ALMOST everyone.
I would like to know why I am NEVER part of the ALMOST everyone.
Guess it's just something we'll have to deal with if we enjoy chat.

I used to frequent the Yahoo hacker lounge a long time ago, and almost every other question dealt with "show me how to boot," kiddies actually booting, asking for warez, and the traditional "How do you hack such and such mail server" made me never go back.
While in the rooms I would get the same question as you: How do I keep people from booting me? You really can't on the GUI version, but you cannot go wrong with the Java version... I myself have never been kicked before, cuz I prefer the Java. However, I have heard Java booters, flooders, etc. exist, but never bothered to investigate.
Stick with Java.

I'm assuming Yahoo has an open chat forum, and the "reporting" would really make no difference.

Yep, that's right. There is all kinds of stuff there, including porn bots and no moderation.
