    what is bios?
    '' '' cmos?
    " '' hard wired?
    " " the memory address hype ie.,0000 to fffff ....etc i coudn't get what it is ,can any one one explain about these...and how to caliculate it and manipulate it and all the mess about it..

    CMOS: complementary metal oxide semiconductor. More info here: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/C/CMOS.html
    Hard Wired: Anything that is not an FRU. Transistors, capacitors, etc. that are soldured on boards.
    Memory addressing info is here: http://www.pcguide.com/ref/ram/logicAddressing-c.html ammo, RiOtEr or other hardcore programmers know more about that...

    BIOS is Basic Input/Output System. And it's wriiten in assembly language and is stored in some chips on your motherboard. When you turn on your CPU BIOS checks the installed devices and checks if they all work. After it checks all hardware and if everything ok it executes code in boot sector of your hard drive.
