    Can anyone suggest a spyware & adware free MP3 download program?

    Songspy or Gnucleus would be the best bet in my oppinion.

    All those music sharing programs are security risks.
    By installing it, you are setting up your computer
    as a server. If you don't use strong security measures,
    don't be surprised if funny stuff begins to happen.

    I use WinMx,however,keep your Anti-virus & Trojan software updated!!
    Run them DAILY!!

    tons of fun

    I'm pretty sure most napster clones are all going to contain spyware!!! Here some that I have used.

    Kazaa
    WinMX
    LimeWire(this one sucks, best bet is winmx)

    Make sure your firewall is on, and don't download any supiscouse files!!!!!

    NOTE: SongSpy is good, has spyware, but that is easily removed with AdAware.

    Kazaa Lite is also excellent IMO.

    i would have to agree with rcgreen, in saying that "those music sharing programs are security risks."

    I'll suggest songspy. I've used it for a _long_ time, and it's perfect. Best thing is it doesn't allow the person sharing the files to cancel their uploads... making it harded for you to get partials and cut off in the middle.

    Audiognome is essentially an OpenNap client. I've used it *successfully* for about a year or so.
