    ZoneAlarm upgrade problems

    I just upgraded to the latest ZoneAlarm but now the Firewall Alerts are turned off by default. Even when I turn them on, they change back to 'off' when my computer is switched off.

    Anyone else had this?

    I have the same thing..... when something doesn't respond I check the Program Control (Zones) or Alerts & Logs (Log Viewer). There's always an answer in there. It's a pain in the butt, but better than letting anything & everything talk to the world.

    One thing you can do is to uninstall it and reinstall it. It's also possible that it's not shutting down properly when you shut down the computer, therefore not saving your settings. Make the necessary changes and exit ZoneAlarm. Restart the program and it should have saved your changes, and will keep those changes from that point forth.
