    hi all, i would be grateful if someone helped me decrypt this:

    it's a passwd files that i found on an ftp i would hack.
    i know the password are here but i cant decrypt them

    PLZ HELP ME!!!

    Sorry, buddy, but I don't think this is the place for you. Most of the people here are system/network administrators or have similar technical professions and want to prevent people (such as yourself) from hacking their systems. No one is going to help you hack an FTP site. Also, I recommend that you delete your post, in turn deleting the thread, before you start getting hit with negatives (which I see you have already received) and possibly even banned. Just my suggestion...

    PS: That file isn't going to get you anyone's password...

    edit: Damn, too bad there wasn't an AntiPoint system in place when you made your first post because you (hopefully) would have learned your lesson then...

    first of all, I'd like to say, I hope you've enjoyed your stay, too bad it won't be a long one.

    2nd, that is indeed a password file, however, good luck finding the passwords because you're not going to be able to. That's all I gotta say.

    thats a password file, but all ~/password will show you is the user setup so you wont see the passwords .. all I'm gonna contribute
    Just finished a 2 part Linux firewalling tutorial using Firestarter (basic and advanced customization) .....
