    Hacker simulators?

    Does any one know were to get hacker simulators or hacker games that are not online type games

    Go to happyhacker they have very easy games there but those are mostly browser games. There are several wargames & simulations out there, you just have to look for them. I seen a game called uplink a few days back that looked like it might be funny.

    Uplink, very cool game! And it is not expencive either! Though it lacks a bit on the realistic side!

    Linux is the best os,stable,fast...and the hacking os but what dose it mean to hack at your kernel... i been using mandrake linux for a 3 weeks....whats it mean?

    Wow, I'm the first person to jump all over this question.

    A Kernal is the core of your operating system. When you're using linux, you can recompile the OS at pretty much any time you want to, and make changes to the very lowest level functions the OS uses. This is why linux is so powerful: It's configurable in a bazillion ways, and all you need is time. I'm sure any search engine can point you toward some links that will give you a more in-depth look at kernal configuration.

    There are no good hackers simulators. I believe there was a game made by some company and I saw my friend play it. All I can tell you is that it was not realistic and that it sucked major time. The best thing you can do is just practice your skills by playing wargames.
