Lightbulb New to Security, learn TCP/IP

I couldn't figure out where this post should go for sure, but I thought it could fit in here. For those of you that are new to Security, it would be a good idea to learn TCP/IP. I found a great site/series of sites some time ago that give quality training/information - free! The site is below:

To the more senior members, I am sorry if this post was in the wrong section. I figured that newbies would benefit a lot from this site, so I put it here for good exposure. Don't flog me too hard if I am wrong...

    Thumbs up Good ones

Useful resources. I suggest RFCs to better references.

This is a small but impressive bookshelf I stumbled across and figured that it would aid in the newbie learning experience. All the books are online and published by SAMS. Quite a few 'Teach Yourself X in Y Days'

I think when ipv6 really gets going security will be a lot stronger. From the little I know of it there is so much being built in to it that is not in ipv4. More audit trail stuff of each packet. Canít wait till they get the bugs worked out and the net gets on board.
