Well hotmail isn't the way. 16 megs? I think hotmail's limit is a meg or less. A few different options for you, here are the good ones. (there are more but they're hassles, one of these should work)
1. Split up the file and transfer it piece by piece
2. Find an online backup service that will let you upload files
3. Get an account at a web hosting place (angelfire will do), upload your file then on the default page they give you post a link to download the file.
Hope that helps. GL.

Send yourself the URL to the file you want at work or home and download it there.

Tips
Hi buddy...
Here are some tips which may do for you.
Tip 1:
You might be having Yahoo e-Mail account. Sign-up Yahoo! Briefcase. 30MB absolutely free.
You can share files with your friends. Upload the file and give sharing permission to your friend. Make a folder public (everyone can access it) or keep it private and give access to selective persons.
Tip 2:
Here is an application thru which a file can be splitted to 1MB/512/... chunks.

Yeah, briefcase is fine but they monitor the files uploaded so you might get home only to realize yahoo deleted your file. And as for splitting a file, google it, there are many programs to do this.

You can have some free web space in
http://www.geocities.com
http://www.tripod.com etc
create some web space and the site will provide upload fetures. then download the file from where you want .
or else you can use a file splitter pgm( I think winzip zips and splits the file provided the zip destination is a floppy) try it out
hope this helps

Hi,
U could try "chopper", for your large file size. The program can split the large file to fit to any size you want. It is free and is available at http://www.code-it.com. It is easy and very simple to use.

You guys got it all wrong. I would just sign up for a free 25MB X-Drive online storage space. Save the file there, and head home to access it there. Just as easy as moving it to the hard drive only this storage area is on the net and accessible everywhere. I used to use it to copy Mp3s from napster and access them anywhere.... Heres the link. hope it helps http://www.xdrive.com/index.jsp
