Normally I wouldn't post something like this, but since it's all over Usenet and several popular web sites already, I don't see that there's much harm in passing it on. The cat's already out of the bag.

It appears that Red Hat 8.0, which is scheduled for official release on Monday, has somehow been leaked onto the Internet and is showing up on mirrors tonight. It can be found here. I can confirm that there are 5 ISOs labeled Red Hat 8.0 (Psyche) and that the release notes on CD1 say Red Hat 8.0.

Beyond that, you're on your own as I have neither the time nor the desire to download and install an entire Red Hat release (especially 5 CDs) just to verify its legitimacy. Personally, I will wait a while before I try a .0 release - or any other, for that matter. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. My Gentoo box is rocking along just fine, thanks.
