Cell phones and laptops
Is there any way to connect a laptop and a Nokia phone? Cell modems are expensive, and I was wondering if there was a harness or something that will work. Thanks for the help, guys.

I think it depends on the cell phone. There are a couple possibilities... I have two cells phone that are enabled to work with a laptop or PDA. One is a Motorolla StarTac, for which I have purchased a cable and PCMCIA card which allows my computer to dial out through it. The other is a Nokia which I and a friend "fixed" to be able to "talk" to a laptop through the IR port, allowing me to access the 'net, utilizing my regular phone minutes.

Assuming that:
- You're in the US
- You want to connect to the Net using your cell phone
- You're using Windows
a quick search of "windows modem" at http://www.nokiausa.com/ may give you some ideas.
BTW, connection of a laptop and a cell phone can mean many things... downloading ringtones, uploading address book, etc, etc.
