Discussion Forums & Votes.
I'm currently working on adding a discussion forum to my web site, and I was wondering what would be the best software to use in creating this forum? I can't fully afford a web designer as of yet, but I would be willing to offer plugs if anyone would like to donate assistance. Otherwise, if someone could walk me through it. I'd really like to learn as much as I can.

There are a couple of free, easy to setup prefab forum- and voting systems available. If you're running a webserver with php and mysql, you could take a look here, for instance.

It looks like they support ASP if you want to give ASP a try there are several free discussion group programs at http://www.asp101.com and http://www.aspfree.com
Work... Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints...

it has several good bulletin board scripts in asp, php, cgi, etc...
