    thread programming is pretty much OS dependent... Are you on windows (win23) or unix?

    When I took distrubuted system (CIS 307) at temple University I learned a lot about threads. So far this semester threads have not yet been covered but you find http://www.cis.temple.edu/~ingargio/...ngs/index.html useful but http://www.cis.temple.edu/~ingargio/...ngs/index.html (notes from last spring might be more relavant).
