You have not said what version of SuSE you want to install. There should be documentation on the installation media and quite good help during the installation. You can also search the forum for tutorials since this subject have been covered several times .

    Some quick links:

Mounting, Partitioning, and Configuring File Systems
    Adding a New Hard Disk/Partition
    Manual Partitioning with YaST2
Windows No Longer Boots After the Installation of SuSE Linux

You can also find more information here.

I have found Suse Linux to be extremely user friendly upon installation. If you use the CD images, the installation program should work you through setting up a dual boot box pretty nicely. Is your hard drive already partitioned? If so, this makes it that much easier.

installing suse is not very difficult. just boot with the suse cd (or the boot discs if this doesn't work) and follow the advices. everything is very good described even for partioning.

installing suse 8.0 should also go very fast (I think i've read somewhere about this...)

:-) have a lot of fun...

hmm, well my advice would be too chek out this site here :
    http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/jsj_w...oting_7.3.html
go take a look there and hopefully that helps ya out, i installed caldera open Linux yesterday....twice, thingwouldnt pick up my monitor, so i went with Mandrake, and that worked except for recognizing my modem (NOT a winmodem). ok enough of my whining, hope that site helps you though.

I have just installed SuSE Professional 7.3 and my computer wouldn't boot from the first CD. However I noticed on the instructions if you can not boot from the first CD with an old computer (my one was) , you could boot from the second CD (YaST1) , not sure if it is the same for version 8.0, worth checking out though
