Boot from the CD, choose recovery mode, start the recovery console, and enter the administrator password. Then type chkdsk /f at the prompt. Then type exit to restart the computer. If this fails, start the recovery console again, and type fixboot.
It would help if you post the full stop error, as this can be caused by a number of things, and the solutions could be quite different.
First and easiest, make sure there is no floppy in the floppy drive. However this usually gives a Non-system disk error, rather than the one you mentioned.
If not then Beryllium's process is the next step.
