    Al Qaeda Hacking Websites

I didnt have to much time to look around for post's on this topic...but I did look.

Here is a News article from 'The Australian' Newspaper.

    http://theaustralian.news.com.au/com...5E1702,00.html

It is on the Al Qaeda and how they are Using Sub-directories on 'Hacked' websites to pass Messages to Operatives Worldwide.

It seems too tech for some zombies living in some cave.
The whole idea having a message signed ousama is riduculous, he is the most wanted person on the planet and he'd be signing with his own name ? i know that most peolpe think they are not smart but they are not that stupid the proof is how ridiculous the us look about their search of oussama ... after a whole year, invaded a couple of countries, planning to invade one more and they still haven't found the leader ? hum not too serious there.

So i think this article is not worth anything.

Al Qaeda(however it's spelled),Islamic Jihad, and every other terrorist group out there are a lot more than a bunch of zombies hiding in caves. If that's the worlds view of these guys, somebody's gonna shake hands with disaster real soon. They're in every country some in hiding, some walking around in the open. That's what makes them so effective. They're experts at concealing themselves by blending in with society. Not all of the terrorists are Arabs with turbans and loin cloths riding a camel down Main street. If they were there wouldn't be much of a threat. They're pilots, bus drivers, teachers, doctors, and probably computer techs.I don't think it's too unlikely to think that they are communicating by way of the net.I agree it probably is a little rediculous to think Bin Laden is going to all of these sites and putting his personal signature on them, but it's probably more rediculous to think they aren't using the net to communicate with each other. It's a lot easier to put up a web site and communicate through that without being detected than it is to make a bunch of long distance phone calls from the US to Afghanistan and not be detected.

True that for all the points stated up, the phone call thing is a good one !
I don't think taugh that they would have to hack servers just to communicate. They are many caht rooms that offer you private rooms and u get to say whatever you want to and not one is going to be listenning at it. the strength of the internet is its pseudo anonimity.

In summer 2000 I recorded a BBC program about this. Al Qaeda paid some "hackers" (I don't think they were real hackers) to do some jobs for them. They are not technical themselve but they have enough money to rent some people.

An article based on the words of a man whose chief claim to fame is being a Clive Barker fan is not my idea of credible. Others are quoted out of context without giving a source.

One of the sources he does list, Mike Sweeny of packetattack.com, "a security specialist", has this on his main page:

We are offering an exclusive Packetattack.com version of the award winning Alexa Toolbar. With the toolbar you can search the web, using their amazing search engine, right from your toolbar. Plus, when you download and use the toolbar, you'll help support Packetattack.com.

Truly an up-standing netizen. Id believe everything he says, if i were brain dead.

The author calls Clive Barker a Sci-Fi writer and says steno is impractical to use because it requires software. The author is totally clueless on every subject he speaks.
Bukhari:V3B48N826 “The Prophet said, ‘Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?’ The women said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of a woman’s mind.’”
