    Let me tell you most p2p sites are filled with viruses and ad/spy ware. The fact you didn't scan the program before running it was your other fault. Any thing that is ment to crack or hack a program was made by some one with no knowledge of ethics, so it will most likely have a virus attached to it. a good lesson learned here.

    ive had this virus before it is supernover and it is very easy to remove, either with a virus scanner or by yourself (it changes kazaas settings and shares your windowsdir/media folder and fills it with copies of viri to share across kazaa), first run msconfig and stop it loading, then close the program as it will be running (it goes under blaagh.exe desktop-shooter.exe burger something or other) you should notice its something that u aint installed. Then delete it from your windows dir (where the msconfig key was pointed at) and the viri in the media folder...once u done that then your done the virus is gone. Some versions of it sent if to your friends over msn so check that you havent infected your friends.

    I'm sorry that you got a virus from KaZaA (or however the letter formations are) and I had also gotten a virus from KaZaA. I got hit with a Win32k virus, which also hit me to stay the hell away from KaZaA. KaZaA is starting to become a virus magnet, so in the future, I would stay away from KaZaA. Sorry, but it's just a suggestion.

    That is some things, but not all. You need to clean the two registry file's it creates(in the kazaa section, and the run section of software), you need to continually remove the virii files from Kazaa, (which if isn't removed automatically upon download, can reproduce multiple times) you need to make sure that you remove Cheese-Burger.exe from the Windows System folder, and from the registry as well. There are multiple steps, to find them out, search most Virii Definition site's for removal instructions and information on it. Like I said, there are quite a few things you need to do to make sure it is COMPLETLY off your system.

    here's a good pointer based on my experience with the same virus
    don't download any files that are about 40k in size by [SN], as this virus goes under many different filenames, it gives you a false error message when you run the program and then replicates itself under different names all with the asme icon (the one i got had a hello kitty icon, you may know the thing i mean, its a cat)

    if your anti virus is up to date it should be able to remove it as most of them detect it by now, AVG does i know that

    <sarcasm>
    by the way, i found another 'virus' that may be on your system, its called AOL (people refer to it as a virus as it modifies tcp/ip and other proto's on your computer when it is installed
    </sarcasm>
