Is Eraser5.3 enough?
I use a wipe utility and eraser 5.3 .... i wipe my unused disk space everyday and my files with these programs ... how vulnerable am i still to a forensics security personel?

Hey what ive heard to get ride of sh17 you have to over write it with data atleast 30 times! so it cant be recovered but i guess that will take it away from the avg. user

Hey, who did you kill, that you have to be so paranoid?
If you just don't want to get busted for nude pics of
Britney Spears, just deleting is good enough.
If you have forensic experts chasing you, I'd suggest
replacing your hard drive about once a week, and
destroying the old one. Or send it to me. I'll format it
and use it in my box.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.

No im not paranoid really, im actually going into the forensics security field...i was just wanting to hear some other responses on the subject....

The US department of defense standard is to overwrite the data 7 times. "i wipe my unused disk space everyday". Everyday is a bit OTT dont you think? But if your that paranoid I hope you remember to overwrite your swapfile too.
