Cool Help a newbie please. General Hack Question.

    Hi everyone,

Im an 'internet Security consultant', Have experience with ISS Internet Scanner and some basic sniffing tools from the Anti archives.

Want to learn more about exploiting vulnerabilities....where do I start?
I have a temporary connection to the internet which is very very slow so scanning through the tutorials just isnt possible.

Some one point me in the right direction please.......what do I need to learn?
and what kit do I need (Pc's running what o/s's and how many? 1, 2 or a whole Lan!!)

try searching these words using your favorite searcher(mine is google.com)

anonymous surfing(you better learn all the ups and downs)
    free proxy servers
    telnet
    exploit
    dos/ddos
    cryptography
    tcp/ip
    hacking
    cracking
    trojans

    things you need to learn:

    tcp/ip
    programming(c/c++,asm,java,...)
    network administration(not that much)

at some point you'll feel the need of installing linux/unix

I point you here, to the Newbie FAQ
    and here to this note
and here to the AntiOnline User's FAQ

If you read these, you will save yourself a lot of pain in the forums.

I only say this since I see that you have only 1 post under your belt, eventhough you managed to preface you post with seemingly good intent. Welcome to the AO Forums.

black_death has given you an incredible list of resources, to begin with.

    Cheers,
