online collection of books
I found this a lil while ago and figured maybe you guys might like this, seems you can download books from this site in .ZIP and .tar.gz formats.

you can also download them in .PDF and .HTML.

umm, do the authors of those books know about this *free site that is handing there hardwork out like kleenex*?
i dont know, but i sure dont think stealing is very cool.. and advocating it at such a legal site..

Erok, I've thought of it too, but it could be that they have been released by their authors.
These are not the most recent editions, and I've known authors to release subjects like this to the internet. (ie: Crackdown)
It's not like someone will Print every book! They'd rather go and buy it. ($$ Paper & Ink!)

I just thought I`d post these links the first is to a web site that allows you to download many different kinds of books not just ones dealing with computers.This site only puts on books that they can get the copyright for. The second is a site that has couses free online for many different subject but also has many courses on comupters that are very handy for the person just getting into learning computing language such as Mastering Oracle, Mastering C++ or Mastering Java just to mention a few. This is a good way to find out if folks really want to get into programing and such without spending money to start with.
