So Many Holes, So Few Hacks

Few of the ominous potential traumas reported in 2002 turned out to have any real impact on most computer users. The Klez virus infected some machines and spawned spam that continues to clutter many e-mail inboxes. And the Linux Slapper worm made more work for some systems administrators for a while.

The rest of 2002's reported security holes appear to have languished, unexploited.

About the only people affected by all the virii/worms of 2002 were the people who were of
course without a/v and f/w protection. Even then some of these dummies insist on accepeting
and executing unknown .exe's. Thank God for the dummies of the world or else a lot of us
would be out of work.

Man why don't these virii writers spend more time doing something more productive than causing chaos and confusion.

I think that even virii writers are not useless for the internet community.

They give a easy way to improve software implementation (imagine that a terrorist state use a virii that nobody heard of for damaging the victim country economy) and provide job to thousands of security guys as few AO are!

Dont forget to thank Mr. Gates for his broken software people buy then pay us to fix...

M$ deserves credit none the less for accelerating the computer to it's present state as well.
They were not the only driving force however they were imho a large part of it. Heh your right
though their code is full of holes.
