IP and Suse8.1
Hi,
I have been trying to set up my IP on my suse 8.1. I used yast2. It setup my modem, my IP [allvantage], and my e-mail, but when I connect, I get a green donut around the plug symbol. Nothing connects. The modem says it will work with linux. Allvantage says it will work with linux. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Well, My advice would be to go to http://www.suse.com
check the hardware compatibility list and make sure that everything is ok there, if all else fals, email there support staff and you should be fine.

Hi fred,
If your modem configuration already set and make sure in right device what you need to do is just "right click" that "plug simbol" and click "dial in", I am very sure you will connect to net
