    New App. could root out vulnerabilities

    Hey all,

    found on eWeek I found this to be interesting.
    Could this App. finally be a helpul solution ? ..if it works that is..

    Sanctum Inc. on Monday released a new application designed to enable developers to perform security testing and vulnerability assessments of their software during the development process. AppScan Developer Edition 1.5 is targeted mainly at Web application developers and is completely integrated with Microsoft Corp.'s Visual Studio .Net software.

    If it works it could be a big help to web coders.
    that r not security aware

    but learning 2 write secure is code is a must these days

    "Most developers don't really have any security training, so they don't know what to look for," said Steve Orrin, CTO of Sanctum, based in Santa Clara, Calif. "It's through no fault of theirs; we weren't taught anything about security in school. That's just starting to happen now. That's why something like this is needed. It gives them a roadmap of what to do."
    Actually it's been happening with Unix for years. It seems MS has only just figured it out. God forbid these people actually learn to program. Oh well, at least their hearts are in the right place. Good post.
