    Question Re-enabling after hardening

    Hello,

I have just hardened an IIS 5.0 and I have a few things that I am having problems with:

    - Network logons are disabled by the hisecweb security template and I need to re-enable it to allow a backup server to logon over the network. Any ideas?

    - I need to create a user that can be used by the same backup system. Is there a way to create a user whose password doesnít meet the new password policy standards introduced by hisecweb?

    Regards,

Not unless you back out the the local strong password policy, then create the account, then re-apply the policy. However, what would be the point of having the strong password requirement if you don't want user accounts that have strong passwords?
