IT challenged by Open Source

Nobody in the UK normally cares much about the US government's problem of software
procurement- but the discovery last week that "hundreds of federal offices use Linux is different. The problem is simply stated: federal offices are not allowed to use non- certified software and most(if not all) open source software isn't certified. But its too late, a lot of Unix and MySQL software is already loaded and running.
