He is doing this to help educate himself in the area of network security and administration. I do not support illegal or malicious activities. But the best way to defeat criminal crackers is to know how to do what they do, and be one step ahead of them.

Sent an email to the admin pond@runix.net so hopefully that will clear things up.
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.

I think there is a catch to this. What if it one of those sites where they want you to hack it but then it all ends up in the FBI coming to your house. I believe you to some extent though
