Can you link INter OS together?

I want to run linux on one of boxes at home, the problem is Is hare an Internet Connection between the the computers at home. I would go fully Linux but the other lusers in the house can barely use MS the way it is.

So my question is there any software out there atm, to run RH8, and connect it to, a xp, 98 system? Or must I do it manually?

Samba would be a good start to connect *nix to Windows boxes. Alternatively you could get a simple hardware router. They are pretty intelligent and simple to setup without too much fuss. And often aren't OS specific. I have a couple of nice NetGear ones (RP114 and RP614). Work with my Novell, FreeBSD, RH7.3, MacOS 9, MacOS10 and Win98 boxes without prob.

If you have an xp system with two NICs in it, you can set up the *nix box to run through it with no problems. If I remember correctly, it's called internet connection sharing (or something close to it) and takes about 5 minutes to set up.
