graphic card related questions
Ok, I'm buying a new graphics card. To go with my new computer. I have been looking at the ATI 9500 and ATI 9700, I was looking at the resolutions they support, but I can get a pretty good deal on a samsung 151S, which only supports 1024x768, so, what should I do? Should I just get the monitor? I can get it for $480 canadian, is that worth it? Or should I hold out for something that'll support the advanced resolutions of the 9500 and 9700? Thanks.
By the way, I'm back, couldn't stay away, lots of knowledge here, too much to pass up.

Well if you can only run games at 1024X786 A geforce 3 or radeon 8500 are more then enough for that resolution. You might just want to pick up a cheap 19" CRT monitor that can support 1600X1200 and splurge on the graphics card. Iíve been looking at the prices and bench marks for the 9500 and 9700 and the 9500 gets you more bang for your buck. The 9700 is faster but Iím not sure its fast enough to justify spending the extra cash over the 9500.
Its not software piracy. Iím just making multiple off site backups.

Didn't mean to ask about 9500 and 9700. My mistake. Anyways, I'm going to buy the 9700 all in wonder, so 9700 is a definite for me. And I was thinking about a crt, but I wanted to know if the resolution the 151S can give me is ok, or not worth it with the high end graphics card. Because I'm getting a great deal on it, so I need to know.
