    |The|Specialist provided a link to about the best wargame that is about the now Pull the Plug was good to but they took there public game down. So what you have to do is telnet to the drill.hackersab.org server and log in as level0 and the password is guest register at www.hackerslab.org for the hint for the level when and if you pass the level provide the password and it will give you a hint for the next level. I have been playing this wargame for about 2 years now and i have nearly finished it i have only got to do 2 more levels and i have learned a lot from playing it some of the exploits are old on it but a lot of it can be used in an IRL situation (not the exploits but the theary behind them). If you get stuck PM me and i will try my best to give you hints without giving you a full explanation. Also you should read up on basic Unix commands and start to do some bash scripting and learn a programming language like C or C++ well you know what to do if you need to find something out www.google.com have fun with it

The Zebulun challenge has been taken down, but we're working on another wargame to put up. It'll be quite a bit better. The OSI offers their GEEK Challenge, if you want to take a look at that, it's GEEK Challenge. If you want to learn some other basic skills, you can sign up for Arcanum here. I've got a list of quite a few more if you wanna PM me for them, too many to post.

I personally agree with all of you, there is no one person out there who is going to accuilly help you lern how to thay may give you links but nothing more than that, who would risk people finding out about "them" being a "hacker"
you have to read and try new things and make mistakes many a time b4 youl lern anything.

Maybe you're talking about script kiddies?

The act of downloading "hacker programs" and launching attacts on a computer, a network, etc is frowned upon, and its set a bad name out for all script kiddies. Actually, alot of attacks are initiated by script kiddies. Its when you get into the more skilled attacks that the subsequent knowledge is needed.

    The real skill.
