Haha...I read several of those already, but not the one about the woman volunteering for crucifixion, or the town in Italy offering exile.

I wonder if they will have Mafia protection in Italy?

And I do agree w/ what the lady from NZ said...if faced w/ the destruction and loss of life personally I don't think our president is man enough. It's easy when everything is a pawn on a chess board.

And the lawyer being arrested for the t shirt...that made me want to kick something. It wasn't even an offensive t shirt!! IMO that was a clear violation of his civil rights, and he should be in and out of the courtroom in about 30 seconds flat.

I suppose that we will see just how tolerant Texans are when it comes to free speach with the "peace house" set up just down the road from our illustrious president also. As long as they don't break any laws outright, there is NOTHING that can be done to stop them, and I'm sure they've got a legal team to advise them.

Of course I support peace, however it seem's that the government doesn't. What happened in those articles only go to show how badly our freedom has been detered because of what the Bush Administration has been doing and what they plan to accomplish. I want to see if I get arrested for wearing a peace shirt, that would crack me up. That would be more a crack up to have it on my record, "Arrested for Peace Demonstration" or something LOL

    Weird things are happening.

In the name of peace US gov. makes war
In the name of freedom US gov. tries to end freedom

    look at the TCPA thing
    http://www.antionline.com/showthread...highlight=tcpa

    http://www.trustedcomputing.org/tcpaasp4/index.asp
    http://www.againsttcpa.com/

It sounds like all things we all (us and allied) fight for are becoming so important that they themselves become something that is no longer worth to fight for. The 'fight' itself becomes the major point instead of the idea behind.

It's important that people don't forget the objectives they are fighting for, be it without violence (Ghandi) or with (Civil war in France, US, ...).
    Liberté, égalité, fraternité!

Is Lyotard right? Are those great ideas from the Modern time no longer true? Is it the end of the big stories like freedom, religion,...

Stupid things? yeah probably a lot!

    More links about our war.

For people who are against the war:

    Stop the war
    http://www.stopwar.org.uk/

    Peace
    http://www.unitedforpeace.org/

For people who support the war:

I will put the links up when I find them. (lol, I accually did search)

Just in case anyone was wondering, I am against the war and for good reason.
First of all my cousin is in the army and is being sent to Iraq next week.
It may be his choice, but if he is going to be in this war, I don't want him dying for a stupid reason. Yes people may not agree with my opinion, but remember people I know and love are involved in this war.

Second of all, believe America needs time to heal after 9/11... we don't need to worry whether we are going to be bombed because we are pissing off all these other countries for targeting Iraq.
Third of all, Our economy is screwed right now, and we cannot afford this war, or the rising gas prices.

I've got one for everybody here. A group of "peace activists" decided they would march in L.A., marched right down to an elementary school and destroyed their 9-11 tribute.

Alas, I don't remember the school name so it makes it a little hard to find in the newspapers, besides they all want money to look at old stories.

    Peace at "any" cost?

P.S. I've asked quite a few servicemen and women and they all seem to be behind their commander-in-chief. Go figure.

Lemme help you out buddy. Because of event's such as 9/11, saying specific words or phrases at certain places aren't tolerable, sort of like a zero tolerance policy with that kind of thing. It's not exactly a Bush thing, it's more a common sense thing not to say, "I've got a bomb!" on a plane or something. Now, when someone say's that, they will be jailed or fined because Bush and his administration are having a zero tolerance policy for people who say these things and are dumb enough to do it. Hope I helped you out, if not, lemme know if you need more info.
