i would like to know how key generators work,
how they are created, ect..

There's a reasonable looking tutorial here on the topic of creating a keygen for a program. However looking over it you would already need to know the basic elements of program cracking (like assembler and softice) and another lanuage to actually write the keygen (e.g. C).

If you want to know how keygenerators are made you can visit this site, www.blackcode.com and astalavista.com there you can find lot of tutorials you need in programming, cracking, hacking... etc. Happy Cracking Dude!
