Thanks so much for all of us beginners. The more I surf the site, the more info I gain.
I am data manager by default and not post secondary educated, all knowledge obtained through trial and error. I am keen on data recovery as we have some real 'beginners' working on the software and more than half my time is correcting boo boo's to keep my (the company's) data clean.
Anyone know a good site or tips on data recovery?

i completely agree to SittingDuck's post of djc314159's missing NMAP from the list . i havent found better port scanning tool than that.. anyhow the list was handy...
