    Open-Source Video. Worth a look

    Hey guys, just thought you might want to check out this video about open-source technologies and where they're headed. World reknown open source guru and self-described "troublemaker" Eric Raymond. Raymond is the author of the influential book The Cathedral and the Bazaar and was on the board of directors at VALinux. Raymond talks about trends in the use of Linux, the hacker ethic, what he sees for the future of standards in computing, the entertainment industry's efforts on piracy, and the effect that wireless access will have on users.

    why did they do it in realmedia and not with an opensource codec like XviD??
