Red Hat 9.0 ISOs available on Usenet

Just a quick note to those who are having trouble downloading Red Hat 9.0 (Shrike) ..... the ISOs have been posted to the Usenet group alt.binaries.cd.image.linux. The post contains the first 3 CDs, with the remainder being source CDs that most people won't need.

Is there a cost to use this news group?

That depends on your ISP, but usually not. Most ISPs provide a news server for their subscribers' use, although many of the smaller ones can't carry the full range of groups because of the storage requirements. If your news server doesn't carry the groups you want, a polite e-mail to the admin will usually take care of it, or there are commercial Usenet services that you can subscribe to.

Here's the Usenet FAQ for more information.
