It appears that the functionality of certain internet applications in Windows falters because of the fact that I'm using the Compuserve client to connect to the internet. I'm not new to this problem, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight into solutions for the example below.

For example, I was using nbtstat -A [IP ADDRESS] the other day and I noticed that I got the same response for every server I tried:

C:\WINDOWS\Desktop>nbtstat -A xxx.xxx.xx.xx

Node IpAddress: [67.13.241.125] Scope Id: []

Node IpAddress: [172.147.53.235] Scope Id: []

My only guess was that instead of nbtstating the host I requested, it somehow employed the command on whatever proxy layer that Compuserve has in the connection, which I assume is some dreadful prostitution of TCP networking. In any case, does anyone know any solutions, perhaps some sort of tweak I can do in the Windows Networking control panel(s)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
