Microsoft Word Recovery
Just wanted to know if any1 knew what file microsoft word saves the auto recovery file, where it is stored, and what the name of the file is called please,

If you search for *.tmp files you may find what you are looking for. In future you could select "Always create back up copy" in the tool\options menu.

Toolsptions
Under file locations it will tell you where word is setup to send temp and recovery files.

usually, it is saved in the same place as the original file (unless it hasnt been saved previously) and its name is very similar except that is has a few $$ sign in front of its name. it is also a hidden file. this is with word Xp
