PageLayout for Linux?
I've been searching through google but having little to no luck at finding a tool (freeware/shareware/commercial) that does page layout like Quark and/or Pagemaker. I don't believe that either are available for platforms other than Mac and Windows.
I'm also looking for something that will publish files into PDF and other desktop publishing formats.
Anyone have any ideas?

Adobe hat a FrameMaker 5.5.6 Beta version for Linux available for download and testing, but this ceased to exist
http://www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/fmlinux.html
The FrameMaker 6 is still available for Win, Mac and Unix
To bad it's not for Linux
However Scribus does,

About Scribus
Scribus is a Layout program for GNU/Linux®, similar to Adobe® PageMaker™, QuarkXPress™ or Adobe® InDesign™, except that it is published under the GNU GPL.
Scribus offers support for professional publishing features, such as CMYK color, easy PDF creation, Encapsulated Postscript import/export and creation of color separations.

I think this is what you are looking for? I don't use it myself so don't shoot me if it's bad

Looks interesting. At least it's better than nothing.
Thanks for the link.
