connecting linux to internet

ok, i just got mandrake 8.1 and im installing is with "lnx4win"(i dont think this matters) and i wnat to connect to internet. i have aol which is a problem i think. how should i go about connecting?

i know i have heard that people have done it, there are aol programs that people have made themselves i think, but im not 100% sure

you could also check out the homepage for mandrake 8.1 (www.linux-mandrake.com), they may have something specifically related to AOL and mandrake 8.1
