I just built a new computer for myself and was wanting to see how it preformed. Is there any free software that could test my system. I would buy the 3D mark software form madonion.com but don't want to pay $50.00 for something that I'll use once.

3D Mark will only benchmark your graphical performance.
Sisoft's SANDRA (System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) does a lot more than that, although the standard (shareware) version is limited.

Since when does 3DMark cost money?? I've ran it on my system.. We used it extensively to test the computers at the school.... (we were bored and wanted to see what games we could play)... and I have a bunch of friends who are hardware nuts and see who can get the best score...
Check out http://www.softrom.net/description_g...sp?SiteID=2815 to download 3DMark 2003 (freeware)
