    Question Security hardening W2K3

Has any out there had any experience of hardening a W2K3 server? I am faced with doing this shortly an cannot find much regarding this. I have done W2K servers before, but I wonder if there are any "gotchas" in W2K3

    cheers

If you've done Windows 2000, you should be fine with Windows 2003. There are a bunch of stuff that are, by default, locked down, so it should actually be less work than hardening Windows 2000. I would suggest you download the 180-day trial and set it up on a test machine first. Windows 2003 does work different than Windows 2000 in a number of ways, and you should have some experience with it before you have to implement it within an organization. If you screw up on a corporate level, you'll be looking at a pretty big potential law suit... just my two cents.

Thanks AJ - I kinda suspected as much since there isn't alot on the MS sites.

I will post up anything I come across.

    Cheers
