I believe allenb1963's point was more to list actual tools rather than sites and resources that contain those tools, but I have seen many web site links posted here so I thought I would share this.

I have found WebAttack.com to be extremely useful in tracking down tools. Many of the tools mentioned on this thread and other threads on AO can be found and downloaded from here. Here is a listing of the categories from the Security/Privacy Freeware:

    Freeware: Security-Privacy

Personally, I chose to post a link to the site where the tool was available along with a brief description of why I like the tool, kind of like a mini review. It makes the thread much more useful as it keeps the members from having to sift through an entire site only to find something that they have no use for. But thats just me....you guys post in whatever manner you wish. The main point is that we provide each other with utilities that improve our overall computing experience.

Remember, security isn't just about locking down your box...it's also about doing it with tools that YOU are secure with.

    Happy posting!!!

Internet explorer has a restricted sites options under security. This site installs a list of restricted sites into the registry. The list is extensive and prevents a lot of unwanted visitors accesing the computer.

This programme is somewhat similar to the above one. Gives a very good reason for using it when you access the site.

    Hey guys, Nice thread!
I want to add this website ( not really a tool):
    www.anonymizer.com/snoop/test_ip.shtml.
What the website does is perform a seven step analysis of your system, from detecting your IP address, to your OS, to your web browser type, .....
It's a great website, check it out!

From my friends at www.techrepublic.com ...
    Obtaining and using ViewKeyXP
You can find ViewKeyXP on the Internet by doing a simple Google Search. Be very careful when you download it. Because it is a hacker tool and not supported by any legitimate organization, don’t be surprised if the version you’ve download has a virus embedded in it. If you choose to download the file, make sure you scan it with an updated virus-scanning program before using it.

In today’s world of setup wizards and multi-megabyte downloads, ViewKeyXP is amazingly simple. The file itself, Viewkeyxp.exe, is small—only 32 KB. There is no installation program. Just run the program, either from the command line or by double-clicking it from the folder you downloaded it to.
Who amongst us hasn't lost a product key or two before? I'd wager that most of us have been in a situation where we could use a utility such as this one...

[edit] I found the 32 meg version, scanned it with AVG and The Cleaner and it passed both tests. I've zipped it and uploaded it to save you guys some potential headaches...[/edit]
