well, all i have to say is.... wtf?!?!?!?!?
\"Look, Doc, I spent last Tuesday watching fibers on my carpet. And the whole time I was watching my carpet, I was worrying that I, I might vomit. And the whole time, I was thinking, \"I\'m a grown man. I should know what goes on my head.\" And the more I thought about it... the more I realized that I should just blow my brains out and end it all. But then I thought, well, if I thought more about blowing my brains out... I start worrying about what that was going to do to my goddamn carpet. Okay, so, ah-he, that was a GOOD day, Doc. And, and I just want you to give me some pills and let me get on with my life. \" -Roy Waller

If you want to try linux or change your linux version, have a look at http://www.linuxiso.org/
it has a wide selection of versions to choose from. also for the people who didn't know linux is free to download, as is all of the distros on this site.
Hope this will help.

F.I.R.E.
And also.....
Assembler, Disassembler, and Hex Tools
BGP Trace Route
telnet://route-views.oregon-ix.net/
(note...you'll need to copy the above link and paste it, as it's a telnet shortcut)
And my favorite (especially for footprinting suspicious IPs)
SamSpade
Windows 9x: n. A collection of 32 bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprocessor. Written by a 2 bit company that can\'t stand 1 bit of competition.
