    NIKTO

Nikto is an Open Source (GPL) web server scanner which performs comprehensive tests against web servers for multiple items, including over 2600 potentially dangerous files/CGIs

Nikto is not designed as an overly stealthy tool. It will test a web server in the shortest timespan possible, and it's fairly obvious in log files. However, there is support for LibWhisker's anti-IDS methods in case you want to give it a try (or test your IDS system).

Link to download the software :

    Thumbs up (*ahem*)

I was told I should post this link in this forum, as well.

I don't use this much since I mainly use linux, but it seems to work well on my WinXp and 98SE computers. Keeps the spyware from being installed in the first place.
    Spyware Blaster
Forgot the important part- freeware but could use a donation if you are able.

I started using this firewall. Port Monster 2.0 is now provided to everyone, completely free of charge, no spyware/adware, no nag screens, no registration required. FREEWARE. This is definitely one of the greatest firewalls I have seen. It contains other tools that remind me of netstat and nbtstat. Also has a port scanner and other tools.

    ***EDIT***
The link above, doesnt seem to want to show up on my screen, maybe it's just me, let's try again.

I have not had the time to go through evey post, and I think it has been mentioned on AO. I think that is how I found it.

SlickRun a command line to select programs, urls, and almost anything else you need with little effort.

A lot of the ones i know about are already up there but here is a free file integrity monitor that works really good it is implemented on our servers here at our office. It notifies you of any changes to your files also you can set it up to email reports for viewing.

GFI LANguard System Integrity Monitor 3
