    sound in slackware 8.0

    i can't make my sound card work in slack. i've tried recompiling the kernel but still i doesn't work. I have a Cristal c42xx sound card

    wich kernel module / driver do you use for the soundcard..

    I can remember something about there being more then one for that soundcard (2 diff chipsets)..

    Als you could try to chmod (777) the /dev/dsp
